Digital Content Specialist (Team Lead) May 2021 – Present

Michigan State Department of Information Technology | East Lansing, MI

  • Worked to create a unique AR experience using motion capture software to create avatars with the university dance team
  • Led a team on multiple research and design sprints, multitasking many different clients at a time
  • Remediated and condensed WordPress content to enhance website experience for faculty and staff
  • Explored back-end processes, working to better add functionality to websites through SSL Certification, setting up backups, and updating PHP

Digital Accessibility Intern (Team Lead) Nov. 2020 – Aug. 2021

Michigan State Department of Information Technology | East Lansing, MI

  • Educated in and educated others in WCAG 2.1 guidelines
  • Analyzed and remediated university course documents for over 20 college departments, Reaching a faculty that interacts with 2,000+ students
  • Created and edited tutorial videos using Camtasia and Snag It focusing on captioning resources and the remediation process that were released to the entire university

iOS Design Lab (Student Teacher) Aug. 2020 – Present

Michigan State University | East Lansing, MI

  • One of hundreds of applicants at Michigan State University chosen to be apart of program as student teacher to develop course content for students under the specific lens of teamwork
  • Chosen as project lead for creating a new iOS Design Lab website in WordPress, released to entire university consisting of over 50,000 students
  • Collaborated with Apple team members during the design process to create applications and content that would impact local community members using technologies like Figma and Adobe XD
  • Designed and implemented Michigan State Museum app with Augmented Reality functionality

Michigan State University Study Away Program | Silicon Valley, CA (Virtual Experience)

  • Met and worked with Digital Accessibility leaders from Apple, Verizon Media, Google, Facebook, Walmart, Microsoft, and more
  • Researched and developed personas based on compiled research of potential users to better inform our decision-making process
  • Worked with a team from around the country to build and develop an app focused on making academic note taking more accessible

  • Worked directly with foundation owners and leaders to collaborate in the design process using the Adobe Creative Suites
